Rachel has extensive experience in real estate-related and other complex business disputes. She represents developers and commercial landowners in landlord-tenant, eminent domain, and land use litigation. She has in-depth knowledge of Georgia zoning and land use law and regularly teaches continuing legal education courses on the changing statutory and constitutional landscape of that area of law. She is experienced in federal and state jury trials, arbitration hearings, bench trials, emergency hearings, and depositions. Rachel has handled litigation matters involving:
- Real estate disputes
- Breach of contract
- Business divorces and disputes among business partners for breaches of fiduciary duties and misappropriation of assets
- Misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential information
- Financial fraud
- Legal malpractice (plaintiff and defense)
- Non-compete and non-solicitation agreements
- Trusts and estates
Rachel graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law and from Cornell University, where she was a member of the varsity rowing team. She maintains an active pro bono practice and has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations. She lives with her family in the East Lake neighborhood of Atlanta.
