Alec has helped clients in a variety of industries, including transportation and logistics companies, real estate developers, and product manufacturers resolve their commercial, tort, real estate, and regulatory challenges through civil and administrative litigation and alternative dispute resolution at the trial and appellate levels. He also has represented military veterans and their families before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

With the Robbins Firm, which he joined as an associate attorney in 2014, Alec has significant experience representing clients in highly regulated industries, including gaming and healthcare, in connection with regulatory compliance, licensure, and business disputes.

Before joining the Robbins Firm, Alec practiced at King & Spalding, where he was a member of the tort litigation practice group and represented a major global transportation company in litigation in state and federal courts across the Southeast.

Alec graduated from Hamilton College, magna cum laude, with a B.A. in Government. He earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. While in law school, he served as an editor of both the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law and the Environmental Law and Policy Annual Review. He also worked with the school’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County’s Department of Law, and as a judicial intern with the Honorable Eugene E. Siler, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Alec is admitted to practice law in Georgia, Tennessee, and Michigan. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Appellate Practice and Eminent Domain sections of the State Bar of Georgia, and he volunteers with the Emory Law Volunteer Clinic for Veterans.
